MAJOR PRICE REDUCTIONS FROM SSANGYONG

To mark the arrival of the new ‘10’ registration series this month, SsangYong has announced price reductions across its range of Kyron and Rexton 4x4s – with between £2500 and £4500 off, depending on which model you go for.

Not only that, all new SsangYongs bought during March will come with five years’ free servicing in addition to the standard five-year warranty – plus free satellite navigation and even free automatic transmission on some versions.

The biggest discount of £4500 brings the list price of the Kyron 2.7 SPR down to £17,995 (from £22,495), with both the Kyron S Auto and the Rexton S Auto reduced by £3500 – taking their on-the-road prices to £14,995 and £17,995 respectively. The Kyron EX falls by £2500 – reduced from £18,495 to a far more competitive £15,995.

We have to hand it to SsangYong for offering decent value these days, with its extended warranties also helping to increase sales in what has been an extraordinarily tough market for the company. And while these vehicles aren’t for everyone, they at least appeal to buyers looking for a sturdy workhorse with off-road potential, decent towing capability and sensible pricing.
