FORD IMPROVES THE KUGA

Ford has added new diesel engines to its range of Kuga compact SUVs in an effort to boost performance, improve fuel economy and reduce CO2 emissions.

The Kuga will now be offered with new 138bhp and 161bhp versions of its 2.0-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engine. And customers will be able to equip all-wheel drive Kugas with Ford’s Powershift six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The 138bhp and 161bhp all-wheel drive models with manual transmission deliver a six per cent reduction in CO2 emissions compared with the previous 134bhp engine. These new powerplants also boasts improved performance and a broader spread of torque.

In addition, Ford is offering a new Individual trim level for the Kuga range, which includes a new front grille, side skirts and wheel arches, as well as 19-inch alloys and an upgraded interior. Prices of the four-wheel drive versions now range from £21,995 to £26,995 depending on engine and spec choices.
